Introducting Wilders OSFP MSB test fixtures

Wilder Technologies, provider of best-in-class datacom compliance testing fixtures, is pleased to announce the introduction of a new class of test fixture for the datacom industry: Module Support Boards (MSBs). The MSB is similar to a Module Compliance Board fixture, providing power, CMIS interface and cooling for pluggable optical transceiver modules and ACC/AEC/AOC cable assemblies without the compliant high speed electrical connections. The MSB provides a more cost-effective alternative to a full MCB for applications such as DSP software development, CMIS software development and validation of OSFP Modules. Other applications include powering and supporting optical compliance testing (TP2 and TP3) for modules with built in pattern generation and/or bit error counting such as coherent 400ZR, 800ZR and 1600ZR devices.

Included with the MSB is Wilder’s CMIS GUI software, which provides full access to CMIS provisioning, control, monitoring and FW management compliant with OIF CMIS version 5.4.

The optional auto adjusting tunnel cooling module controls the fan speed to maintain a safe module case temperature while minimizing acoustic noise. Supports cooling up to 43 W modules.

Visitors to OFC being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from March 17-19 can see the OSFP MSB in operation in the OIF CMIS interoperability demo in booth #2017 of the south hall.
